The new Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) affects all food-exporting companies in the United States.
According to legislation, all US food business operators, similar to those operating in the US, must have at least one approved PCQI (Preventive Control Qualified Individual), whose primary responsibility is to develop – modulate – upgrade the Food Safety Plan and will oversee the implementation of the plan.
Course Duration: 2.5 days
The FSMA rule on good manufacturing practice, risk analysis and risk based precautionary measures for human food (referred to as preventive controls for food intended for human consumption) aims at ensuring safe manufacturing / processing, packaging and preserving of foodstuffs for human consumption.
This course, developed by FSPCA, is the ‘’standardized curriculum’’ recognized by FDA. Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the requirements for a ‘’preventive controls qualified individual’’. This course is taught by a Lead Instructor for the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Course.
Notes:
Participants will obtain the PCQI certificate issued by the competent American authorities (FSPCA).
