Information

Following the issuance of the new Government Gazette 3350B 12-6-2024 Y.A. 46557-2024, based on which the requirements for the exercise of professional activity of operating construction machinery with a total engine power of more than ten (10) kw and a maximum lifting capacity of up to two thousand five hundred (2,500) kgr are defined, at BQC we designed a new vocational training program, fully aligned with the new regulatory requirements.

Forklifts are, by common admission, the most commonly used lifting machines and, moreover, valuable tools, which find application and use in a multitude of productive activities, such as in industry, in all kinds of construction, in port facilities, in transport, etc.

There is a need to acquire knowledge concerning, on the one hand, the safe use of forklifts in the workplace and, on the other hand, the basic mechanical elements that the operator needs to know.

It is internationally required that forklifts be used by trained (licensed in most EU countries) operators, in order to avoid accidents caused by misuse and inadequate training.

Upon completion of the program, participants will have acquired the necessary knowledge and operating skills in the following:

  • To safely operate forklifts
  • To load and unload forklifts in accordance with all safety rules, both for the operator himself and for those working in the same area
  • To use vehicles based on the principles of the Highway Code in workplaces
  • To perform maneuvers safely and generally have correct road behavior

Also, to acquire the necessary basic technical knowledge regarding:

  • The operating principles of internal combustion engines
  • The supply systems
  • The hydraulic systems in forklifts
  • The tires of forklifts and their wear
