ISO 50001:2018 – Basic Principles of Energy Management Systems
The ELOT EN ISO 50001:2018 Standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an Energy Management System (EMS), which enables an organization to follow a systematic approach to achieving continuous improvement in energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and energy savings.
The global application of this International Standard contributes to the most efficient use of available energy sources, to the competitiveness of the organization and to positive effects on climate change.

The Standard is addressed to organizations and businesses of all types and sizes, while each organization can integrate ISO 50001 with other management systems, such as for quality, environment, health and safety at work.
The purpose of the training program is for participants, upon completion, to have acquired fundamental knowledge regarding how to establish an appropriate energy policy, the energy planning of an organization’s activities, which affect its energy performance, the determination of energy needs and consumption, the identification of opportunities to improve the energy performance of an activity or process, the definition of appropriate energy indicators for measuring and monitoring energy performance, as well as the determination of specific objectives regarding the efficient use of energy.

The teaching methods used include lectures, practical exercises and group collaboration.
In this context, participants are asked to complete group and individual exercises and assignments, as well as Role playing exercises, which aim to develop their skills (time management, team spirit, collaboration).
At the end, an evaluation test and a satisfaction questionnaire are distributed to participants in order to evaluate the results of their training and the achievement of its objectives.
